Paul D. Roach of Countryside died June 18, 2023 at age 84. He was the much loved husband of Anne Cahill. He is survived by Anne and his identical twin brother Patrick who is also married to an Anne. He is also survived by his brother Dennis (Robin), and two sisters Nancy Deisenroth and Judy Watkins. His brother Michael predeceased him.

Paul and his twin brother Patrick were born on Valentine’s Day in 1939. Paul and Patrick both graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in engineering and then earned PhDs in physics from the University of Chicago. Paul spent his entire professional career at Argonne National Laboratory in suburban Chicago. Paul was a longtime active member of the Theatre of Western Springs serving on many set construction and lighting crews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2 to 5:30 pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside A short service will follow the visitation.
