We are so sad to hear of Sal’s passing and have been reflecting on the thee years we knew him in Florida. Whether he was sharing a story around a hot plate of peppers and onions, or lighting our after dinner cigars, Sal always made us feel welcome. When we were lucky enough to be included in the time he shared with Mario and Celeste, Sal made us feel like family.
We are thankful to have been part of his time in Estero, and blessed to call him a friend.
All our love and kind thoughts to Mario, Celeste and the family.
Christina and Family

May you find peace and healing in the days ahead.

Dear Friends and Family,
As Sal’s next-door neighbor here in Florida, I felt lucky to have him as a friend, albeit for too short of a time. I would often take my
special needs daughter over with me for a visit and chat in the evenings. Sal always made sure she got a cookie, brownie or whatever else he had to share. I will truly miss him and know the entire Meadowbrook Community will as well. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.
Thank you Sam. For all you’ve done for me, for Lisa and Lexi. You’ve taught us all so much that I will cherish and practice forever. Whoever you’re cooking for up in heaven is a lucky SOB. Thanks for the food, the laughs, and most importantly your overwhelming kindness and love. I will never forget you. Rest easy Sam.
Dear Angela, Brian, Claire and Andrew,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your Father and Grandfather.
May your hearts be comforted by the memories and love that you shared.
You are in our thoughts and prayers,
Julie Pitelka
