Elizabeth Ann Zika, age 87, of Western Springs, passed away on September 18, 2023. Loving wife of Peter Zika. Beloved mother of Jane (Chris) Zack. Devoted grandmother of Kellen. Preceded in death by her brothers Robert and John Testore.

Beth was born in Chicago on December 7, 1935 to Frank and Annie Testore. She had over 30 years of service in education as a speech pathologist. Her employers included the Western Springs school district and the Oak Brook school district. She volunteered at St. John of the Cross in the SPRED program, wedding committee, and countless other endeavors. Beth’s favorite past times were spoiling her grandson, playing tennis and golf, going on long walks, attending book club, and Thursday night ladies’ dinners. She will be most remembered for her generosity within the community, helping those in need, and being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many.

A 10am visitation will be held at St. John of the Cross, 5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springs on Friday, September 22. Mass will follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home. Funeral info: 708-352-6500
