Jim worked for over forty years in the metal stamping industry. He began his machinist career at the age of 19 at Danly Machine Corporation. His training and hard, honest work advanced him from apprenticeship to journeyman and then on to senior positions. As field service representative, he served many auto manufacturers in assembly plants across the country, the continent, and abroad. After Danly closed its Cicero plant, Jim became a sales engineer for Smedberg Machine Corporation until his retirement.
Jim accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior as a youth. He loved the Lord and loved his family. Jim and Carol invested much to ensure their children received a quality Christian education. Jim was also known for his humor. He enjoyed making others laugh and have a good time. He liked working on and admiring classic cars and hot rods, repairing broken machines, singing and listening to Gospel music, and playing the piano and guitar. His strong, honest work ethic and his love of music were instilled in his children. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
