Stephen John Bachmann
Stephen John Bachmann, age 77, US Army Veteran, of LaGrange. Beloved husband of Cynthia Bachmann for a wonderful 41 years. Loving father of Rachel (Dino) Navarroli and John Bachmann. Dear brother of Gary Bachmann. Fond cousin of many. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Eleanor Bachmann.
Stephen was a steam train enthusiast. He was very proud of his time served in the Army. Stephen will be remembered for his love of national parks and travel. He was an avid Cubs fan. His memory will live on by his family.
Visitation 4 to 8pm Thursday, October 19th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, October 20th at 10am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any of the American Legion Charities at mylegion.org.
Cindy, John and Rachel, I am so sad for the sudden death of your husband and father. He was the apple of your Mom’s eye. We have fond memories of all the grands celebrating at Grandpa and Grandma’s house. So mane cousins made a happy time. I of course remember the loss of a brother, Gary and sad for you too. To the Bachmann family, My thoughts and prayers. So many good memories of Mr. Bachmann, from all the Cubs games we went to and Blackhawks games, having John and Mr. Bachmann over at our old apt to watch playoff games. He was always a joy to be around and could put a big smile on your face. I’m deeply sorry I found out this late. Love to Mrs. Bachmann, Rachel and John.
