    Time – by Michael McEvoy

What is time, we just don’t know
When it goes by where does it go
With no beginning and no end
We still don’t have enough to spend.

    And though it’s everywhere around
Sometimes it simply can’t be found
To see it’s face upon a clock
Can often give you quite a shock.

It can go by just so fast
You never notice it’s gone past
There’s lots more time where it comes from
But when you need it, it’s just gone.

It can push you to your very best
Then make you feel there’s just no rest
Always there in days gone by
To make you laugh or make you cry.

Look around and you will see
How time has changed what used to be
It’s time for this and time for that
Look how it’s worn the welcome mat.

So is it good or is it bad?
It depends upon the times you had
    Without it nothing can exist
Just think of all we would have missed.
