In loving memory of Nancy Catherine Torpie, age 81, who passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024 with both daughters by her side.

 

She will be remembered as a sunshine-loving soul who found joy in beach reads, gentle waves, warm sand and mesmerizing sunsets. She had a great love for her family and friends, both near and far, old and new. Nancy’s heart belonged to her husband Russell, the love of her life, her best friend and closest companion. They shared a profound connection, and he cherished her endlessly. Together they built a lifetime of memories that will live on through those left behind. Although he and their son Michael departed before her, their love stayed in her heart long after they were gone.

 

She leaves behind love and strength for her two daughters, Hillary and Megan. Her eldest daughter, Hillary Morrison, along with Scott, brought grandchildren Gavin, Katey and Spencer into her life. Her younger daughter, Megan Rout and David, brought grandchildren Sophie, Duncan, Emma and Hayden. Together, they formed a family that brought immense joy to Nancy, the many holidays and memories of lazy summer days swimming in the pool are times shared by many and will continue to bring warmth to the hearts of Hillary, Megan and their families.

 

Nancy will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. The void left will be filled with memories and laughter moving forward and the comforting reassurance of a full life well lived. Wishing her peace and calm always.
