Dr. Claudette Pieczynski (nee Ostrowski,) age 86, of Indian Head Park.

Beloved partner of the late Thomas Pieczynski. Loving mother of Nicholette Obregon, Tom Baker, Kathryn (Liem) Nguyen, and Paul (Kim) Pieczynski. Devoted “Busia” of Josie (Matt Casas) Obregon Casas, Alex Stepanek, Brittany (Reginald) Tiglao, Gilbert Obregon, Michael Nguyen, Jo (Brian) Laughran, Megan Pieczynski, Tommy Baker, and Amber Baker. Cherished “Great-Busia” of four.

Claudette was born and raised in the East Side neighborhood of Chicago and is a graduate of Bowen High School where she was an active participant in alumni activities. She married Tom Pieczynski in 1957 and had four children together. The young couple moved to Ashburn and raised their family. She took immense pride in being a mother.

Learning about yoga was life changing for her. She learned about meditation and natural healing, and eventually became an instructor. Inspired, she returned to college and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard. She then proudly opened a private clinic in Chicago Lawn, where she practiced for 17 years. Claudette loved ballroom dancing, volunteering at a local resale shop, reading, gardening, and her cat, Angel.

A memorial visitation will be held 4 to 8pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PAWS at www.PAWS.org/donate or a local animal shelter.
