Eugene A. Jobin, age 78, proud US Navy Veteran, of Westchester, formerly of LaGrange. Beloved husband of Virginia Jobin for a wonderful 52 years. Loving father Amy (Kirk) Paille and Carrie (George) Hoganson. Devoted grandfather of Cecilia, Ben, and Evangeline Hoganson. Dear brother of Gerry (Sharon) Jobin and Julie (Jeff) Jeter. Fond uncle and loyal and kind friend and neighbor to many. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Virginia Jobin.
An attorney, Gene practiced law in the Chicago area for 36 years. He was a die-hard Cubs fan.
Memorial Visitation Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 10am until time of Memorial Mass 11am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., LaGrange. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BEDS PLUS at P.O. Box 2035, LaGrange, IL 60525.

I am so saddened to hear of Gene’s passing. We were at Harrington’s together briefly, but I saw him more frequently in the 80’s and 90’s on the golf course here and in Michigan. Sending our condolences,

So sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. For many years, I saw him jog on 6th Avenue. He was always friendly and positive. He was a wonderful role model.
We all, from our grade school class, will miss Gene. Like many of us we didn’t reconnect for many year. During the reunions we often talked about our childhood. How simple and great it was in Brookfield. Best part is we grew up but never really changed, Gene was just a great kid and the same as an adult. Our St Barbara class of 60 will truly miss him. He will be forever in our thoughts.
