Thomas Murphy, age 82, of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024. He was born on June 8, 1941, in Chicago, IL to Thomas and Mary.

Beloved husband of Bernadette. Loving father of Meghan (Mike), Christine, and Thomas (Mary). Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Evan, and Alex. Dear brother of the late Jack (late Sharon), Noreen (Dan), Mary Ellen, and Rob (Maggie).

Thomas proudly served as a clinical psychologist for over 35 years at the Hines VA Hospital. He cherished his time spent with family and friends, rooting for the White Sox, and playing tennis.

Loved ones are invited to meet on Friday, May 24, for a 10:00 a.m. visitation at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Rd, Western Springs, IL 60558. A funeral mass will immediately follow from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016. We will meet at the cemetery office at 1:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Research Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Association are greatly appreciated.
