Jerry Eugene Morgan, 87, of Naperville since 2000, formerly of Clarendon Hills.  Beloved husband of the late Marjorie.  Loving father of Linda (Jim) Guzzaldo and David (Jaki) Morgan.  Devoted grandfather of Tony (Kate) and James (Margaret) Guzzaldo, Megan and Andrew (Greta) Morgan.  Dear great-grandfather of Madeline, Elliot, Mary and Jocelyn Guzzaldo.  Cherished brother of Kenneth (Marion), Keith (Sherry), the late Robert (Sylvia) Morgan and the late Ellen (William) Colbrook.  Fond uncle of many.  Visitation 9am until Funeral Service 11am Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11500 German Church Road, Burr Ridge, Illinois 60527.  Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church (address above) appreciated.  Jerry was born on December 6, 1936 in LeRoy, Illinois.  He attended Hickory Grade School and LeRoy High School.  He graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1958.  He married Marjorie L. Morenz of Sadorus, Illinois on March 7, 1958.  Jerry and Marjorie had two children, Linda Lee born in 1959 and David Eugene born in 1960.  Jerry made his home in Clarendon Hills, Illinois and worked as a Project Engineer at International Harvester in Hinsdale, Illinois, Advanced Fiberglass Limited in West Chicago, Illinois and Morgan Engineering Company in Downers Grove, Illinois until his retirement in 2022.  He was a member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Burr Ridge, Illinois until his death on June 15, 2024.  Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Downers Grove, Illinois at 630/964-6500 or www.hjfunerals.com
