Dolores Enright, age 88, of Countryside, formerly of Berwyn, went to be with her Savior, Jesus, on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Her son Jerry was with her when she took her final breath on earth and immediately breathed easily in heaven.
Dolores was married to the late Jeremiah (Jerry) Enright Jr. for 44 years. Together they raised their three sons, Jeremiah Enright III (Cory), the late Michael Enright (Julie), and Stephen Enright. Dolores was loved by four grandsons and their wives. Danny (Johanna) Enright, David (Karly) Enright, Jeremiah Enright IV (Haley) and Jordan Enright. Treasured by her great grandchildren, Chase, Emily, Charlotte, Natalie, Timmy, and Luke, she was looking forward to another great granddaughter to be born in December! Dolores was a fond aunt and a faithful friend to many.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marguerite Baer and her siblings, Robert Baer, Nancy Brody, and Debbie Collier.
Dolores grew up in Chicago and attended the all-girls school, Mercy High School. After marrying Jerry Enright she settled in Berwyn and worked at Morton West High School in the Dean’s Office for many years. She also worked for the City of Berwyn. She attended St. Odilo for many years. Dolores was a charter member of the Claddagh Ring, an Irish-American Club that enjoyed the fellowship of Irish friends and those who wanted to be counted among the Irish.
Dolores attended LaGrange Bible Church in the later years of her life. She enjoyed attending church and began a close and personal relationship with the Lord. Her knowledge of the Bible and who Christ was exploded and she really valued and just plain enjoyed following the Lord. She was part of a ladies small group and enjoyed many sweet friendships at LaGrange Bible. She especially loved going to church every Sunday and seeing all 6 of her great grandkids!
On Friday, September 13, a celebration service of Dolores’s life will be held at LaGrange Bible Church, 850 7th Avenue, LaGrange. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. The service will begin at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to LaGrange Bible Church, the place that was so dear to Dolores.
Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Countryside at 708-352-6500.
