  1. To the Kafer Family,
So glad I saw Len this last May at our class reunion. Unfortunately, his visit was cut short by an accident. Len was one of the few of us who still looked like he did at St Johns. One of my fond memories of Len is Friday nights. We would gather in the officers club and order pizza from his family motel and he would bring it over. He was a fun guy to be with and had a great sense of humor. I always enjoyed his company and am proud to say that I knew him.
    Rest in peace my friend.

  2. David and Cheryl,
Your Father was the best. He and Carol were so kind to Joyce and I while we were working at St. John’s. The time we spent together was an absolute joy. He loved you both and loved your families and could not be a more proud Papa! He never failed to end every telephone conversation with “you have a very nice day.” We will miss him and give thanks for his friendship.

  3. My sons went to school with David … I remember his parents so well … his Mother with her beautiful eyes and his Dad with his kind smile … so gracious to the Lindholm Family …. May he sit at the right hand of God …

  4. I graduated with Dave from St. John’s and I am honored to still call him one of my best friends. I spent a lot of time with Dave’s parents at St. John’s and at their home as well. My parents and Dave’s parents grew close and we often spent time together on special weekends eat St. John’s. I am very saddened to learn of Mr. Kafer’s passing, but take solace in the face he lived a good life. My family and I extend our deepest sympathies.

  5. Dave & Cheryl,

I remember getting together at Auntie Ruthie’s for family reunions, so that was last time I saw you all!
    Take care
