Rose Marie Luna, age 86, of Chicago, passed away on October 26, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Luna. Loving mother of Felix (Maribel and the late Maria) Luna and Charles Luna. Devoted grandmother of Felix (Erin) Luna Jr., Vanessa (Daniel Fletcher) Luna Fletcher, Michael Anthony Castillo, Lysette Antoinette Luna, and Alexander Rudolph Luna. Cherished great-grandmother of Julian Micah Luna, Anthony Valentino Luna, and Maxwell Carmine Luna Fletcher. Dear sister of the late Julia (late Donald) Ortiz, late Frankie Arroyo, late Felix Arroyo, Marcella (Eloy) Becerra, and Peter (Diann) Arroyo. Fond aunt and friend of many.
Rose will be remembered for being outgoing and the life of the party.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:30pm Thursday, November 7th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Please arrive a few minutes early to take a seat. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peace Officers Memorial Foundation of Cook County at www.pomfcc.net/donate.

Whenever someone dies, they talk about how wonderful they were how great they were. Rosie had a heart. I grew up on 18th blue Island. We were poor and one day we had no food and Rosie and Tony went to the grocery store came back with four bags of food So I’m gonna miss her and one day we will all be with her because I know she’s with my uncle Tony May she rest in peace, her nephew, Joey
