Manuel Morales
Manuel Morales, age 76, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on January 22nd, 2025. Beloved husband of Mary Lou (nee Santos); cherished father of Eva (Alfredo) Torres, Valery (Paul) Balich, Christine (Alexander) Ayala, Estrella (Jesse) Ayala; devoted grandfather of Danny, Tommy, Ariell, Paulie, Viviana, Delilah, Alfredo, Eunice, Michael, PJ, Andrew; great grandfather of Julian, Isaiah, Anastasia, Penelope, Miles, Camila; fond brother, uncle and friend of many.
Before retiring Manny was a truck driver for Cook County and was very proud of this. His favorite hobbies were fishing, bowling, playing poker with family, and nice warm vacation destinations. He loved to feed his grand-dog Julio, aka puppy, an apple in the mornings.
Visitation 3 to 9pm on Sunday, January 26th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. A 12pm Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 27th at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside. Additional Information: 708-352-6500

To all loved ones of Manny, my sincerest condolences in his passing. He is a great man. We spent time together with the same employer. I don’t wish to use the word work. It’s not work if its people whose company you enjoy. So much ls laughter and go conversation. He would talk about his home and show pics of work he put in. I recall how impressive. We are comforted knowing my father met great people in his journey of life. While your friendship with him stemmed from your employment, clearly it manifested into a friendship.
