Karen F. Nagy

Karen F. Nagy, nee Oswald, age 81, of Lyons, passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Les Nagy Sr., loving children, Lucy (late Mark) Vogt and Les Nagy Jr.; cherished grandchildren, Vicki Rousis, Krystal (Austin) Heller, and Heather Vogt; great-grandchildren, Brantley and Savannah Heller and Nova Vogt (her dearest black lab). Dear daughter of the late Joseph F. and Karolina Oswald, nee Weiss; Dearest sister of Helen (late Mick) Burke, the late Joseph (Nancy) Oswald Jr., the late Anna (late Stuart) MacDonald, and the late Dorothy and Sylvia Oswald.

Karen was a lover of animals, surrounded by dozens of dogs her entire life, including ones that were not even hers. Her wardrobe and home decor consisted of Hello Kitty, Snoopy, and Elvis Presley. She enjoyed every minute with family and friends, dancing to polka music, playing bingo, spending the day at the casino, and playing her accordion.

She touched countless numbers of lives with her selfless generosity, compassionate charity, and unending kindness toward all. From family, friends, and neighbors, to random encounters with strangers, she gifted everyone with a smile and a warm memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital, or St. Labre Indian School are greatly appreciated.
