Ryan D. Mosier

Ryan D. Mosier, 48, of Addison, Illinois, passed away peacefully and entered his eternal home on March 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, seeing the situation as an opportunity to grow in faith and in unity with family and friends.
Ryan was born on June 8, 1976, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to John Mosier and Linda (née DeCello) Mosier. He spent his childhood in Honduras, attending the American School of Tegucigalpa. It was during his teenage years that Ryan discovered his love for competitive equestrian show jumping, a passion he pursued with great dedication. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from St. Louis University, he went on to build a successful corporate career in aviation. In 2009 he received a Master’s in Business Administration from NYU Stern School of Business. He made Chicago his home in 2010. He loved traveling the world to visit family and friends.
Known for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and deep gratitude, Ryan will be remembered for his loyal friendships, his genuine concern for the underprivileged, his playful sense of humor, and his love for household pets.
Ryan is survived by his loving parents, John and Linda Mosier; his brother, Justin Mosier; and his sister, Liana (Adam) Axley. He will also be deeply missed by countless other family members, friends, colleagues, and classmates who were fortunate to know him and who held him close in their hearts.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 West 55th Street, Countryside, IL.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 25th at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, 21892 Gudith, Woodhaven, MI 48183. Inurnment to follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery nearby. Afterwards family and friends are invited to gather for a luncheon at our family’s favorite pizzeria in Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make memorial donations in Ryan’s name to Stand Up To Cancer (standuptocancer.org) and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (aspca.org).

Querida Familia Mosier,
