Kathleen Renee Campbell, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on March 9, 2025. Beloved wife of Michael E. Campbell; loving mother of Edward (Christine) & Sherry (Timothy); cherished grandmother of Kennedy, Chase, Calvin, & Liam; dear sister of Sherry, Edward, & Gregory Puriski.

On June 15th, 1974, Kathleen Renee married the love of her life, Michael E. Campbell, and together in 50 years of love proudly raised two children. She treasured time with family, and especially cherished moments with her grandchildren.

After being diagnosed with terminal cancer and given months to live, Kathleen’s zest for life and love of family led her to travel the world over the next year and a half, which included trips to Paris, Florence, Southern Illinois to see a total eclipse with her entire family, a trip to Disney World with both her children and grandson Liam and a trip to New York to see Billy Joel. She leaves us as a testament to the importance of living every day we are given with love and grace.

Kathy was a treasured aunt, cousin and friend to many and will be deeply missed as she lives on through us. In a testament to the way she lived, condolences following her passing consistently referenced the universal and unconditional kindness she offered everyone she interacted with.

Her life will be celebrated during a memorial visitation on Tuesday, March 25 from 3 to 9pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside.

Memorial Mass 11am on Wednesday, March 26 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., LaGrange, IL 60525. Interment private.
