Verne Edward Rezabek, of LaGrange Park, age 69; beloved husband of Diane; loving father of Alison (Brian) Higgins; proud Deda of Samuel and Nora; dear brother of Linda (the late Frank) Schoensiegel, JoAnne (the late Ron) Blume, Don (the late Suzanne) Rezabek, & Dale (Margit) Rezabek; dear uncle, cousin, & friend of many.
Verne was a proud family man and loved reading, his church, singing, and going mushroom hunting. He enjoyed Czech food and travel. Verne was an Engineer, and held multiple patents. Verne lived his life with love & joy every day, and shared it with those around him.
Memorial visitation Saturday, March 14 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 12 p.m. Interment private. Verne will be truly missed by our family! We will never forget just sitting around talking while with the kids crawled over Jasper, our New Year’s Eve Chinese dinners, our Oreo memorial dinner and Verne’s solo at the block party, just to name a few.
Verne was so smart and knew about everything Engineering related. Craig loved picking his brain! We loved his laugh and his great sense of humor! What a proud grandpa he was! He loved Diane and Alison and her family with all of his heart! This man truly made a difference!
