Andrew Schubkegel
Andrew Schubkegel, age 94, of Countryside, formerly of Oak Lawn and Chicago, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on July 22, 2020. Andrew was born to Andrew and Katherine Schubkegel. Cherished brother of the late George Schubkegel. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth for 70 years. Loving father of Elizabeth (David) Steeb and Andrew (Michele) Schubkegel. Devoted grandfather of Katherine (Robert) Naurath, David Jr. (Linda) Steeb, Grace Schubkegel and Nicholas Schubkegel. Dear great-grandfather of Mikayla, Hannah and Leah Steeb and Grace, Andrew, Grant, Charles, and Elizabeth Naurath. Visitation 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. A group limit of 50 and social distancing guidelines will be set in place. Masks required. Due to the current restrictions, the funeral service and interment will be held privately.

Very saddened by the fact my family and I were out of State when my godfather, Andrew, passed away. He was always the one that came to my dad’s rescue when some construction work was needed at our house or my grandparents home. He and his wife Elizabeth (my godmother) were always as kind as they could be to me and my brothers and in much later years were my biggest supporters when I took over the presidency of the Lieblinger Club. They were both true hero figures of the club for so many years. He is someone I will never forget and will be missed greatly. Great Man!!!
