The greatest, kindest, most fun uncle ever!
How unbelievably lucky am I to have lived across the street from “Mr. Don” not once, but twice in my life. Our gratitude for the way that Don and Lorrie have touched our lives is truly immense. The 100 times they brought in our garbage cans, rescued a puck that made it’s way to their house, or corralled our pups when a gate was left open. The attention Don and Lorrie showered on the kids not to mention the year-round treats which Don always insisted he (wink wink) picked out. Kate and Michael hope to live next to someone like you two some day, but more importantly they understand how to be a good neighbor to someone because of the example you’ve set.
And finally, thank you Don for letting us see how much you and Lorrie loved each other. The way you shoveled the walkway together. The “wave” when you’d leave the house. How you’d talk on the walk to get the paper each day. Your visible love for each other made the world a better place for all of us.
Godspeed Mr. Don and we’ll look for you on the golf course behind the pearly gates someday.
I have had the pleasure to meet this man who was a good friend of Bob Spurgeon and we golfed with him many many times. He was a great person to be with and a genuine gentleman. We will pray for his soul.

Downers Grove.
I would see Don and Lorrie on Sunday at his moms house for a short while and I always found him to be one of the kindest, nicest men I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. He was a true gentleman and always brought a smile to my face. Please accept my condolences for your loss.
Lorrie, My deepest sympathy to you and Don’s family.
“Hutch” was a special person and I always remember the good times we had together.
