Alice celebrated her 101st birthday before embracing eternal rest on Dec. 10, 2020.
She was predeceased by husband Al, son Gary and grandson Kyle. She is survived by daughter Beverly Bozick Hernandez, daughter-in-law Wendy Bozick (Gary), grandchildren Brooke Bozick Gennaro (John), Kelsey Bozick Alverson (Chris), and great grandchildren Henry and Harper Gennaro.
Pennsylvania was Alice’s home where she earned her RN, and until she joined the army nurse corps during WWll. She served in a hospital on a B17 training base where she and Al met and married. Many years later Alice joined other veterans on the Honor Flight to D.C.
Recently residing in Glen Ellyn, Alice was formerly a resident of Western Springs and member of St. John of the Cross parish.
Her career as a nurse continued at Oak Park Hospital, Highland School nurse in Countryside, and Hines VA Hospital Metabolic Research. A life long avid reader, Alice also loved playing bridge with friends and happily accepted invitations to ride with fellow veterans in the town July 4th parade. Her life’s joys were close relationships with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
