All my life I have enjoyed having Uncle Seedy as my uncle! I will truly miss him. — Pam
Tomorrow we will celebrate a life well lived. We will all miss you dearly. We love you.
Now, Uncle Seedy, you help Danny with those girls, Betty and Bille!
Seedy, you helped the US win World War II at the Battle of the Bulge during the coldest winter in 100 years. Your service will always be greatly appreciated.
My dear uncle was a fun person to be around. He was a good provider for his family. A good citizen, community member and served proudly for this country in WWII and at the Battle of the Bulge. He served as a dedicated member of the Western Springs VFW in honor of those who also served for our benefits in life. Fun things to remember him by: Louisa, Nilda, key-ripes! my horse (you crapper), his horse Anjeanette, Bad Bad Leroy Brown, fun vacations with our families and even into adult life with the girls (lost in the airport, Virginia Beach, cruises, and road trips close to home!), the taffy apple story told so many times, found memories over the holidays and during the years being together. Dadadadadadadada, Dadadadadadadada. Bless You. We loved you lots. Leslie & Sam
Seedy, “Dad” over 40 years ago you took under your wing, into your home and into your family. More importantly you entrusted me with your one and only daughter. I hope to live up to that trust and your expectations! Thank you for being my second dad and treating me as your own. I am forever grateful!!
Seedy would come each spring to Lyons Township High School to speak to a group of our freshmen. It was invariably a highlight of the year for them. Seedy was so funny and engaging- he would pass around his old ration book and MRE’s and let the kids try on his helmet while he regaled them with tales from the battlefield. He made the abstract concept of war more real for them, and I firmly believe meeting him helped foster a lasting respect for our veterans. We felt so privileged to have known him- and we were all so grateful for his military service and for the devotion of his time to our students. He was clearly loved, and he will be dearly missed.
