Betty Lou Miller
Betty Lou Miller, of LaGrange Park, formerly of Burr Ridge; beloved wife of the late Chester Miller; dear sister of Beverly Arnstein & Marion (Thomas)Nau; cherished aunt of 15; fond great-aunt of many. Betty Lou was a woman with many friends. Betty Lou was a pharmacist for over 50 years. She will be remembered as a woman of faith. She will be dearly missed. Betty Lou will lie-in-state on Thursday, July 15 at Grace Lutheran Church, 200 N. Catherine, LaGrange from 10am until time of Funeral Service 11am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty’s name to Grace Lutheran Church or Hinsdale Humane Society are appreciated. I had the pleasure of meeting Betty in our neighborhood TGIM Book Club. Betty was always so positive and smiley – always looking so “put together”.
My prayers are with Betty and her family.
I worked with Betty at the UofC pharmacy. We attended each other’s wedding. Although I moved away we stayed in touch. She was a lovely upbeat woman.
Betty was a kind soul and an active member in our book club in Burr Ridge for many years. We will miss her always. My condolences to her family and friends on the loss of such a lovely, wonderful and fun-filled woman.

Betty was always a kind and caring person. I worked with Betty for many years at the University of Chicago hospital Pharmacy. She loved being a Pharmacist and passed this on to all the people she worked with. I’ll always remember when there was a terrible blizzard and Betty stayed at the hospital and worked 2 or 3 shifts in a row. She actually slept in the hospital and worked again the next day until more people made it to work. I was proud to call Betty my friend and co-worker who dedicated her life to helping others. You will be dearly missed and I know you will be taking care of the Pharmacy in heaven. Love, Gil
I met Betty Miller while working at the UofC pharmacy. Betty taught me to be the best technician I can be. Such an awesome personality and spirit. Thank you Betty, we’ll truly miss you.
Over forty years ago, as a new pharmacist working at the University of Chicago I met Betty. Little did I know that she would become someone I would truly admire as a person. As I look back over my career she is one of a handful of people and pharmacist that greatly influenced me. At work she was exceptionally friendly, helpful, energetic, giving, and thoughtful. Everyone she worked with was inspired to really care for each patient by her example. She also had a demanding perfectionist style to improve care that was infectious. She was admired by the entire pharmacy department and was a friend to everyone. There was no one she would not not listen to and help. Although she worked very hard in the pharmacy, I admired her ability to make time and energy to enjoy life and her personal priorities out side of the pharmacy. She understood and lived “work-life” balance. Based on other tributes, it was clear she impacted others in her neighborhood, church, and community. I will miss her smiling face, but I feel very fortunate to have known her.
Betty was my late mother’s best friend dating back to elementary school in Loganville. She always amazed me with her energy and care for others. My sincere sympathy to her family on behalf of mine.
