Robert Ignatius Murphy, age 59. Loving father of Clare Lynn Murphy; dear brother of John (Jan), Therese (Jason) Kielp, Dan (Jan), Tom (Laura), Marianne (Bruce) Sloier, Brian (Katie), and Matt Murphy; loved son of the late Annamae (nee Hegarty) and the late John (Red) Michael Murphy; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; Godson of Patricia (Aunt Pat) and the late Robert Burns. Robert was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps., and an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time with his family and friends. But above all else, he was a devoted father to his daughter, Clare. Visitation will be held from 9am until 11am on Wednesday, July 28 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Mass to follow, 11:30am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., LaGrange. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will take place Wednesday, Aug. 04 at 11am. Marianne I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your brother that happened a few years ago. Time does not make it any easier, but I do pray 🙏 that God ✝️ has given YOU and YOUR FAMILY STRENGTH to move on in this world 🌏 without him 🥺😥😢😭😭😭 I can NOT even fathom loosing one of my siblings as THEY are like my OWN CHILDREN!
