Sandra L. Dorgan

Sandra Lee Dorgan (nee Mahood) of Countryside, IL., age 62, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 27, 2021. Sandy was born December 30, 1958 in Akron, OH. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Dorgan, her parents John Mahood and mother Jeannine Nardi (Frank).  Sandy was a wife, mother and the proud owner of Ledo’s Pizza (Countryside). Sandy enjoyed many things in life, which included a close connection to her children and grandchildren, they gave her strength and as she gave them.She was involved in the community, with a passion for for giving back to the people and place she so loved. In addition, she had a deep love for animals of all types with a special interest and participation in equestrian show jumping, dog rescue and all types of wildlife. You could find her digging in the dirt and creating garden scapes for the pleasure of fin, feather, fur and flesh. Sandy is survived by her three children Jeannine Dorgan, Jonathon Dorgan (Priscilla), and Lea Dorgan; her two stepchildren Chris Butcher (Billy) and Lori McLaughlin (Mike), her six grandchildren Francisco, Gianna, Koi, Jonathon, Brayden and Elianna; her sisters Stephanie Waszak (Daryl), Cindy Lloyd (Gary), Rosilin Wiegand (Scott), brother Thomas Mahood; sister-in-law Louise Filips; and brother-in-law James Dorgan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hallowell & James Funeral Home 1025 West 55th Street, Countryside, IL, 60525 on Monday, November 15, 2021 Visitation Hours: 3 to 9pm
A Church Service will be held at Advent Christian Church of the Highlands 1525 Plainfield Road, La Grange, IL 60525  on Tuesday, November 16th. Final Farewells 10am until time of Church Service, 12pm.
