Maryann G. Lattal, age 95, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2022; beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Lattal; loving mother of Joseph (Vicky), Michael (Therese), William (Julie), & Joanne (Tom) Clancy; devoted grandmother of Kimberly, Jeffrey, Joe, Kate, Kristin, John, Kevin, Colin, & Patrick and many great-grandchildren; dear sister of the late Mildred Kallal and the late Edward Jana; pre-deceased by loving parents John & Mary Jana; loving aunt and friend of many.

Maryann loved parties and celebrations, especially birthdays, Christmas and New Year’s. She set traditions for her family members that will be carried on for generations, like singing the 12 days of Christmas before we ate Christmas Eve dinner.  We’ll always cherish the recipes she shared for Christmas cookies, dumplings and soup. She had lifelong friendships with grammar school classmates, loved to play games (cards and Yahtzee!) and watch old movies from her youth. Her legacy has been built with the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she leaves behind but will be watching over from above.

Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside. Family & friends will meet for funeral prayers at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, June 6 at the funeral home to St. Cletus Parish, LaGrange for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
