Thomas Peter Traub, 85, of Chicago passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022. Beloved husband of Irene; loving father of Jane and Caroline; proud grandfather of Sarah, Bill, Amanda, Ben; great-grandfather to Eleanor, Isabelle and Charles; dear brother of Marilyn, Robert, Richard; loving uncle, cousin, and friend of many.Tom had a successful forty-year career as an electrical engineer with ComEd; he enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the Western US; he appreciated classical music; he like dining out; and was a long-suffering Cubs fan.
Tom was a gentle and caring man; had a great dry sense of humor; and loved being with his family and friends. As were his wishes, there will be no services at this time. Instead, he would prefer you to fondly remember happy times spent together over the years, raising a glass to his memory and a life well lived.
