Bob enlisted in the Army Air Corp during WWII while attending the University of IL. He finished college at Northwestern University and followed that with a career as an accounting manager for Joseph T Ryerson in Chicago. Thirty years of his life was devoted to this successful metal distribution company. Bob liked sports, especially watching and playing baseball. He played as a young boy and in high school. Comiskey park was just down the street from his home in Bridgeport so becoming a White Sox fan was to be expected. He spent many a day at the ballpark when he wasn’t helping his mom and dad at the butcher shop they owned. Bob loved learning about the US. He was proud of this country and marveled at all it has to offer. He and his wife loved to travel. They have been to all 50 states, mostly by car. Though nothing surpassed Bob’s love for his family. We will always feel his love even now that he has gone to life eternal. Robert, Bob, Dad, Grandpa Bob, Uncle Bob you will be missed by all. We love you very much.
