Frank Niwa, 90, US Army Veteran, of Countryside. Beloved husband of the late Betty Niwa (nee Nemec); devoted father of Jeffrey (Patti), Cynthia (George) Hess and Steven (Martha); loving grandfather of Daniel (Nicole) Niwa, Brittany (Michael) Ryan, Ryan (Brooke) Niwa, Brian (Carissa) & Ashley Hess, and Branden Niwa; dear great-grandfather of Parker and Sophie Niwa & Rory and Jack Ryan; fond uncle of many.
Visitation Friday, Dec. 16th 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove. Chapel prayers 9am Saturday, Dec. 17th from the Funeral Home to 10am Mass at St. Cletus Church, 600 W. 55th St., LaGrange. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
