Greg S. Wollman
Greg S. Wollman; age 67; of Westmont; born May 1, 1955; passed away on February 22, 2023. Loving brother of Larry Wollman. Dear cousin of many. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Elgin J. and Melba (nee Hoover) Wollman. He will be greatly missed by his many dear friends, especially Colleen.
A graduate of Richards High School and Elmhurst College. Greg had a great love of history and the American Civil War. He was a fan of all sports, including the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, and White Sox. Greg loved nature.
Greg’s family and friends will greatly miss him and he will always be loved.
Visitation 4 to 8pm Sunday, February 26th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where family and friends will meet to pay final respects at 9am on Monday, February 27th. Procession from funeral home to Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs for a 10am Graveside Service.

I did not know Greg a long time, but happy that I got to know him briefly. He was smart, light-hearted, and incredibly kind. May all the good memories stay in our hearts and peace be in his soul forever.
I grew up with Greg and Larry as I lived next door. Greg was a great big brother to me and I learned all about sports and games. While I was the youngest of our group Greg always let me play. He taught basketball, football and baseball. I also played many games from Monopoly to Battleship to Booby Trap. I thank Greg for giving me my competitive spirit which he gave me…….Greg you will be missed……..Rest Buddy.
Greg was a great friend not only to my brother Ed but to me as well was always there if I needed to talk . He will be greatly missed. Fly high with the angels Greg 😇.
I have known Greg for over 40 years. It should be noted that Greg was a brilliant software developer who dedicated his life to building enterprise-level software applications. All of his customers and colleagues adored him and were amazed at what he brought to the table in terms of technology. He loved his work and will always be remembered for his contributions to business software development.
Smart, funny, weird, caring, and all things to his friends. He’ll be missed by those closest to him but the memories will make us laugh, cry, smile, and maybe a bit wistful.
Greg was a true friend and all around good guy even if he went to Richards (inside joke). I get the last word, and it’s buh-BYE.
I will miss our conversations about sports, life and our health. Greg was like a big brother to me. I knew him for 23 years. His office was right next to mine for the last 6 years and I will miss his smile, quirkiness, yelling, pacing and frustration with clients and coworkers. I wish he had more time to enjoy his retirement but God had other plans for him. RIP my friend until we meet again to discuss our disappointing sports teams.

greg was a great friend for 46 years. we met at poppin fresh pies as we applied for work there in 1976. we spend a lot of time together and enjoyed sports and travel. with us being single often we would go out and look for girls with not much success haha. he was a kind and thoughtful man and i will miss him terribly. may he rest in peace.
