It is with great sadness that the family of Mary “Pat” Carr Zeiler announce her passing on Saturday July 29th, 2023. Age 82, of Oak Brook and formerly La Grange Park; preceded in death by beloved husband Richard and her son Christopher. Also predeceased by parents Frank & Dorothy Carr and sisters Jeanne (Thomas) Horan and Sr. Anne Carr, BVM. Loving mother of Janet (James) Bresch, Sharon (Kristopher) Leonard, and Peter (Debbie) Zeiler. Beloved grandmother of Michaelene, Katherine and Sean Leonard and John, Celia and Margaret Bresch.

After receiving her degree from Mundelein College, Pat was a loved kindergarten teacher in the Chicago Public School system prior to having children. She returned to teaching after her children were grown. In retirement, Dick and Pat divided their time between Illinois (Oak Brook after they left LaGrange Park) and Fort Myers Florida. They spent their retirement traveling, playing golf, reading, socializing, and enjoying friends and family.

Visitation Thursday, August 3 from 10  to 11am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., LaGrange followed by Funeral Mass at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s name to The Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary at bvmsisters.org.
