E. Belle Jenkins, 100+ years old, passed away at home in La Grange, IL Sept. 23, 2023. Belle was born May 8, 1923 in Fort Wayne, IN and was a graduate from Ashton High School in 1941.
Belle was a Wife, Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, secretary for a school district, and worked in the family business that was located in La Grange. She was married to Stanley M. Jenkins in Avon Park, FL on June 23, 1944. To this union were born 4 sons.
Belle is survived by 3 sons; Doug (wife Darlene), Larry (wife MaryAnn), Ty (wife Anne), 7 grandchildren; Michelle, Becky, Jason, Douglas Jr., Bryan, Jerilynn, Jaquelynn, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 niece; Sarah. Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her parents, Charles and Elva; son, Mark Brian; and great-granddaughter, Haylee Elisabeth.
Belle was proud to be a 50+ year member of the Eastern Star of Rochelle, IL.
Interment will be at Ashton Cemetery, Ashton, IL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations on behalf of Stanley and Belle to the American Cancer Society.
