Carlos J. Sandoval, age 50, of Elmwood Park. Cherished son of Jose and Carlota Sandoval; beloved husband of Maria Padilla; loving father of Eddie, son of Monica, Carlos Jr, Fernando, Kymberley, and Bryanna. He was a wonderful mentor to Jeremiah and Robert, who looked up to Carlos as a father figure. Proud grandfather. Dear brother of Norma, Jose, Veronica, Gerardo (Chito) and Mark Anthony. Dear Uncle of Vanessa, Ivone, Jazmine, Bobby, Cassandra, Mark Anthony, Monique, Jonathon, and Tiffany.
Carlos was a carpenter for local Union 54 for almost 30 years. Carlos found happiness through his work and family. He was a great leader and a true craftsman who was dedicated, and took pride in his work. He never hesitated to help those he cared for or who were in need, especially his family.
He was the biggest Bears & Cubs fan, and would go to extreme lengths to make sure he watched all the sporting events. Carlos made tremendous efforts to see his grandkids whenever he could.
