Patricia Anne Lonask, of Plainfield, Il passed away peacefully after a short illness on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the age of 83. She was born in Chicago on July 24, 1940 to her late parents Charles and Grace Hanson.
Pat was the beloved wife of Karl Lonask for 58 years. Loving mother to Keith, Brian and the late Scott Lonask. Devoted grandmother of Taylor (Joseph Joerger), Zachary and Nicholas (Grace) Lonask, Lexie and Jake Lonask. Dear great-grandmother of Rhett Joerger.

Pat was the beloved aunt to many nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces, cousins and their families. Family was one of the most important things in Pat’s life.
Pat has many cherished friend groups and still regularly would meet with them for lunches whenever they could all get together. She loved to shared stories of her High School friends, known as the Mac Pack, and stories of her nursing days and the wonderful nurse group she still was a part of. We were always amazed at how she never forgot anything!
Growing up Pat loved her White Sox Team and continued to faithfully watch them through the good and the bad! Brian and Nicky shared this passion with her! The rest of the family are all Cub Fans and boy did they love to tease each other during the season!
Pat started in the nursing program after the loss of her son, and became one of the best pediatric nurses at Hinsdale Hospital for 33 years! Every young patient who was lucky enough to be in her care remembered her love and gentleness. To this day Pat’s love for little babies and young children where the highlights of her day. Always a big smile when cuddling and playing with the little ones!
Pat lived her life with kindness, compassion and generosity.

I am sorry I cannot be there in person to extend my sympathy to the family. Keeping you all in prayer.
Aunt Pat was awesome and will surely be missed. Nothing but love to the family.
Cousin Pattie was very special to my dad, Ron (“big” Ronnie) Fox, and to me and my brothers, David and Neil. She always sent cards at Christmas updating us on the family and got together with us when my dad came to town from Florida (and I would come in from Indiana). I loved being the flower girl at her and Karl’s wedding. Most especially, I will always be grateful for how she reached out to me when my husband passed away 10 years ago. She truly had a heart of gold and we were so lucky to have had her in our lives.
