Jim Patterson, age 68, of Des Plaines.  Cherished son of the late Harold and the late Verla Patterson.  Loving brother of Jean (Donald) Chilson, Carol (James) Miller, William (Debra) Patterson and the late Patrick (Joan) Patterson.  Devoted uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews.  Jim was born in Evergreen Park and attended St. Bernadette Grammar School and Evergreen Park High School.  He will be fondly remembered by his family for his stupid jokes and snorting laugh.  A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday July 26^th at St. Scholastica Church, 7800 Janes Ave., Woodridge.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Illinois Food Bank would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home 630-964-6500
