Darlene Hammond, 65, was born in Detroit, Michigan on Oct 6, 1958 and was raised through adulthood in Brooklyn, New York. After joining the military, and giving birth to her son, Daryth in Fort Riley, Kansas, the family settled down in Woodridge, Illinois where she lived until she passed away on July 30^th.

After her time in the Army, Darlene worked as an educator in many different schools throughout the DuPage County area. She also enjoyed hobbies like astrology, bird watching, listening to soul and R&B music, and going on cruises and vacations.

She is the cherished daughter of the late Willie Robinson and the late Minnie Eichelberger. Loving mom of her son, Daryth (Megan) Hammond, and devoted “Grammy” of her two granddaughters, Averie, and Lyla Hammond.
