Stephen Donald Voelz, age 68, of Lockport passed away on November 4, 2024, from a motorcycle accident. Beloved husband of Susan Voelz, son of Helen Voelz and the late Donald Voelz. Brother of Jeff (Jill) Voelz. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special long time best friend to Dave and Candy Love. Stephen was loved by his pets, Penny, Charlie and Mandy.

Stephen graduated from Hinsdale High School in 1973. He enjoyed yearly vacations with Sue to Mexico and enjoyed his motorcycle travels to many states. He had plans to finally make it to Sturgis, SD in 2025. He looked forward to yearly fishing trips to Canada with his dad, church members and friends. He cherished his ski trips and past mission trips to Honduras.

He was proud of the work he did rebuilding his first house and current home with his dad, brother and coworkers and revered his 37 years of work at Martin Cement as a Foreman/Cement Finisher. Stephen spent endless hours in his garage and workshop creating and repairing things for others. He enjoyed working on cars including his 1931 Model A truck. He was a friend to everyone and loved his church and Harley families.

Memorial visitation 9am until memorial service at 12 noon Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11500 German Church Road, Burr Ridge, Illinois 60527. Inurnment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
