William F. O’Meara Jr.

William F. O’Meara Jr, beloved patriarch of the O’Meara family passed away peacefully on February 15th 2025 at Plymouth Place, LaGrange Park, IL. Bill was born on February 21st 1933 in Chicago, IL the oldest of 5 siblings. He was a longtime resident of Western Springs, IL and New Smyrna Beach, FL. Bill was a loving father to his 4 children, Elizabeth McClellan (Mike), Nancy Molidor, Kathleen Code (Jack) and Michael O’Meara (Tara). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and his two surviving siblings, Robert and Jean.
Bill attended St Anastasia Grade School, Waukegan High School, Loras College and received his law degree from Loyola University.
In 1956 he married his soulmate Marlene E. Francel. During their 66 years of marriage Bill and Marlene enjoyed a fulfilling life of family, world travel, active involvement in their communities and a large circle of friends.
Professionally, Bill carried on his father’s legacy of banking and civic duty enjoying a long and accomplished career.
Bill will be remembered for his ever present smile, kind heart and his unlimited generosity through multiple philanthropic endeavors. He had an unwavering devotion to God, family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving family, his community and all the lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday March 14, 2025 from 10:30-2:30 at LaGrange Country Club 620 S. Brainard Avenue LaGrange, IL.

Mike…. so sorry to be receiving this email… I wish I would’ve known sooner and could’ve been around for some moral support…unfortunately, I’m going to be out of town on March 14 and won’t be able to join all of you for the celebration of your Dad‘s life…hopefully we’ll have a chance to speak soon… Adam

My condolences to you and your family but what a life! An amazing man and resilient one at that these last couple years. And he raised his son right!
As a youngest of five I appreciate the responsibility of the eldest sibling of five. His legacy lives in thru the many grandchildren.

hi, I am so sorry for your family‘s loss of your beloved father, Bill. I know how close you were to him and inspired you were by him. I’m glad that you were able to spend very significant time with him down the stretch. He leaves a wonderful legacy of accomplishment and family.
