Marilyn Sue Gonia nee Bartos, age 84, of Western Springs passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025. Beloved wife of the late John Gonia. Loving mother of Tiffany (Dan Rolfe) Stoffer, John Gonia, and Heather (Ben) Nesler. Dear Nana of Grace, Anthony, Grant, Luke, Charlotte, and Kathryn. Dear sister of Steve Bartos, Thomas Bartos, Daniel Bartos, and Robert Bartos, as well as the late Carolyn Bartos and Linda Bartos.

Marilyn was married to John, the love of her life, for 51 years. Together they raised a family where Marilyn focused on her true passion of being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her children, took great pride in her home, and in her later years flourished in her over 20-year career with SunGard. In retirement, she found joy in balancing her time between The River and the Florida Keys.

Memorial visitation is Friday May 2^nd from 3pm to 5pm, followed immediately by a 5pm memorial service at Hallowell & James, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside, IL.
