U.S. Air Force Veteran.  Beloved husband of Mary Kay “Kay” (nee Smith); devoted father of Michael, Joann and Susan Wachowski, Jean (Walter) Pochron, Linda (John) Vinicky and Patricia (Michael) Corbett; cherished Papa to John Jr., Megan, Mark, Wally, Steven, Ryan, and Katie; dear brother of Doris (Jack) Doerr and the late Thomas (Eleanore) Wachowski; gentle uncle and great uncle of many. Visitation  Sunday , Aug. 9, from 3 to 9pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home  1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside. Prayers Monday, August 10, 9:15am from the funeral home to St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring  Ave., LaGrange for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
