Martha J. Ecklund, age 84, of Orland Park, formerly of Chicago.  Beloved wife of the late John “Bud”.  Loving mother of Janis (Mark) Winters.  Devoted grandmother of Marla and Nora.  Cherished sister of Maurice Clement and fond aunt and great-aunt to many, including Nancy Salazar, Carole Rachuy and John Insalaco.  Martha was preceded in death by her siblings Lucille Anastasia, Joseph Buckley, Ruth Barnes, Alice Insalaco and Virginia Holte.  Visitation 3-9pm Tuesday May 10th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside.  Prayers 10:45am Wednesday May 11th from the funeral home to St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs for Mass at 11:15am.  Interment St. Mary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Assn. or St. John of the Cross Parish School appreciated.  Funeral info 708-352-6500 or hjfunerals.com.
