DOCHERTY, JAMES FRANCIS  95, born 2/10/21 in Chicago, died 6/25/16 in LaGrange, indeed a “bad day at Black Rock.”  Married to the late Phyllis (Carlson) for 61 years.  Father of Susie (late Al) Lehuta, Barbara (Mick) Corbin, Michael, the late JoAnn (Scott) Elliott, Jim (Bev), Virginia (Dan) Timmerman and David (Sandy).  Grandfather of 21, great-grandfather of 13.  Brother of Joan, and the late Betty, Patricia and Richard, and uncle of countless nieces and nephews.  Served in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII.  He was a world traveler, active at St. Francis Xavier Church, an avid pinochle player, and a serious dabbler in the stock market.  His advice to people was “eat your oatmeal, have a little Scotch before bed, take the stairs, and walk, walk, walk!”  Memorial Visitation 3 to 9pm Wednesday, 7/6/16 at HALLOWELL & JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside.  Memorial Mass 10am Thursday, 7/7/16 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Spring & Ogden Aves., LaGrange.  Private inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Francis Xavier Food Pantry appreciated.  Funeral home phone 708/352-6500 or www.hjfunerals.com
