Milo C. Okkema, age 95, of Clive, IA and formerly LaGrange, IL passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. He was born in Hawarden, IA. He was a Veteran in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in North Africa and Italy. Milo is survived by his children, Suzanne (David) Lemon, James (Kathleen), Judy (Larry) Micek, Michael (Carrie) and Peter (Ann); grandchildren, William, Anne, Timothy, Claire, Daniel (Amy), Michael, James, Katherine, Thomas (Jaclyn), Benjamin, Joseph, Samuel and Mary, and great-grandchild, Milo and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine C.; parents, Barney and Susan, and brothers, Peter (the late Christine) and Bernie (Janice). The family will greet friends 3 to 9 pm Wednesday, July 6, at Hallowell  & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, IL where a chapel service will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 10 am.
