James P. Burke age 89, of the Bridgeport Neighborhood of Chicago. Beloved son of the late James A. and the late Olga Burke; loving brother of the late Betty Jane (the late Hon. Morgan M.) Finley; dear uncle of Patrick Finley and the late James Finley; great uncle of Jonathan (Laura) Finley; cousin of many. James was a U.S. Navy Veteran and participated in the Bikini Atoll Atomic Tests, member of the Wm. McKinley Post #231 of the American Legion and a retired City of Chicago plumber. Family & friends will gather on Monday, October 24, at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S. Wolf Rd., Western Springs for an 11:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
