Joan Lucia Kravcik (nee Hucek) passed away suddenly on Nov. 20, 2016.  Beloved wife of 62 years to John.  Loving mother of Jim (Barbara) Kravcik, Jane (Michael) Murphy and Jennifer (John) Shaughnessy.  Devoted grandmother of John Paul, Andrew, Christopher, Robert, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Dillyn, Daniel and John.  Dear sister of the late Mary Therese (Robert) Maska, the late Frank (Betty) Hucek, the late Barbara (Frank) Rovtar, and the late Rosemarie (Jack) Trinko.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Resident of Western Springs for more than 50 years and Western Springs Citizen of the Year in the year 2000.  Joan also worked at and has been an active member of St. John of the Cross Parish and worked as a social worker at Mayslake Village.  Visitation Friday, Nov. 25th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside from 3 to 9pm.  Funeral Mass on Saturday, Nov. 26th at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S.
