Paul Joseph Bauer, age 61, of La Grange, IL, died January 18, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Paul was the son of the late Joseph Bauer and the late Margaret (nee Doran) Bauer of La Grange. Paul is survived by his wife Donna McDevitt; his brothers and sisters John (Betty) Bauer, Mary Ellen (Bob) Catterson, Nancy (Dave) Schlager, Robert Bauer, and Bill (Laurie) Bauer; his nieces and nephews Heidi (Phil) Allen, Ray Bauer, Carl (Charise) Bauer, Kelly (Sean) Brogan, Maureen Catterson, Stacey Catterson, David Schlager, Natalie Schlager, Isabella Bauer, Ryan Bauer, Megan Bauer, and Jack Bauer; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and his cousins Maggie (Bob) Mortimer, Jim Puzan, Kathy (Tracy) Lundin, and Sue (Bob) Bietsch. Visitation at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, on Friday, Jan. 27 from 3 to 9 PM. Prayers 9:30 AM, Sat., Jan. 28 at the funeral home before Mass at 10AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., La Grange. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
