Michael Patrick Savage, age 68, of Downers Grove IL.  Preceded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth A Savage (nee Dorosz). Father of Kate (Juan) Cabrera, Jessica (Scott) Penso, Bridget Savage, Kevin (Lisa) Savage.  Brother of Bob, Jim (Peggy), Dan(Mary),  Joanne, Tom, and John (Terri) Savage. Son of the late Robert and Carolyn Savage. Beloved nephew and uncle to many.

As a young boy, Michael along with his siblings were a force to be reckoned with as they traveled in a close knit pack. He attended Western Illinois University to pursue a passion for history. Michael could often be relied on to remember obscure historical references- often to the delight of his children when finishing homework assignments last minute, as well as the final score of the latest Cubs game. He was always certain to stock up on favorite snacks when the kids would travel home, or even to splurge on a favorite meal. Michael will Rest In Peace along with his beloved wife Elizabeth in Florida. Funeral mass will be held at St. Cletus in Countryside IL on Saturday, September 30th of 2017 at 11 am.
