Dominga Heimsath, of Westchester; beloved wife of Stephen Heimsath; loving mother of the late Anna (the late Charlie), Gilbert Nunez, & Rachel Nunez; dear grandmother of Russell, Nicholas, Anthony, & Jillian McGrath; adoring great-grandmother of Jason McGrath; fond sister of Lucy Mandujano & the late Mario Mandujano; aunt and friend of many. Memorial visitation from 3 to 9pm on Monday, May 21, with a memorial service at 7pm, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Dominga was an avid gardener, both at home, and at her local parish. I will always remember Dominga’s great kindness to me when I first moved next door to her and her husband Steve in Westchester Place. I was not yet married and she and Steve would often have me over for coffee and something wonderful that Dominga had made. She was a a true lady of great intelligence and a strong faith and she will be missed.
My heart and thoughts are with Rachel, Gil and the rest of this wonderful family.
