Takashi Sugawara; beloved husband of Eloise (nee Ramos) Sugawara; fond brother-in-law of Jenne Benca; dear uncle of Linda (Dan) Caplice, Sandy (Tony) Nieves, Debbie Most, Andrea Benca (Ed Musselman), Leslie (Terry) Walter, Joe (Yvette) Ramos, & Pilar Ramos; cherished great-uncle and friend of many.

Takashi was a generous man, an avid golfer, and a connoisseur of good food. He delighted in gathering around the table and having a meal with family and friends. Takashi traveled all over the world and shared his wonderful smile with everyone he met.

A visitation will be held from 4 pm until time of Funeral Service, 7 pm on Tuesday, June 12 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. Visitation continues until 9 pm. Interment will take place on Wednesday, June 13 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie, IL 60076; family and friends asked to meet at the cemetery office at 10:45 am for an 11 am committal service.
